Action for the Climate Emergency
Action for the Climate Emergency (ACE) is a nonprofit mobilizing young individuals to take action against the climate crisis. The organization believes in the power of youth advocacy and is committed to providing youth with the tools and information they need to make a positive impact in their communities and the world.
The Lemelson Foundation is supporting ACE’s mission to build a diverse and inclusive network of youth who understand the science behind climate change, advocate for climate solutions, and lead efforts to address the global climate emergency. ACE provides a range of tools and education for students and educators to connect and learn:
- Our Climate, Our Future: ACE’s award-winning educational resources provide teachers with multimedia lesson plans aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) that have educated 25 million high school students about climate science, climate justice, and climate solutions.
- ACE Youth Action Network: ACE has an active community of more than half a million youth advocates in all 50 states. The network receives weekly action alerts, giving members a stronger sense of agency over the climate emergency.
- Climate Advocacy: ACE offers a wide variety of campaigns targeting various policies related to renewable energy solutions, fossil fuels, and manufacturing.
- Creator Collective: ACE’s digital team engages with content creators and youth online to engage and participate in online actions to combat climate disinformation.
