Oil Change International (OCI) is a research, communications, and advocacy organization committed to raising awareness of the true costs of fossil fuels and promoting a global transition to clean energy.
Founded in 2005, OCI’s international team works with local organizers to achieve climate goals across global sectors including policy, industry, and public finance. The Lemelson Foundation provides general operating support for OCI’s mission to make analysis and data accessible to larger movements and communities working to build a fossil fuel-free future.
With partners in Asia, Africa, the United States, and beyond, OCI works with frontline communities as they call on their governments to stop fossil fuel infrastructure expansion. OCI encourages local ownership of solutions, giving communities the tools they need to advocate against the use of fossil fuels and work toward a more sustainable and clean energy future.
