The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), a Lemelson Foundation grantee, recently announced its 2024 cohort for the Engineering for One Planet Mini-Grants Program (EOP-MGP). Teams of educators from 18 engineering programs — representing schools of diverse sizes and geographical locations, including seven Minority-Serving Institutions — have received funding and mentorship to pursue new ways to integrate social and environmental sustainability into their curricula.
With the Foundation’s support through our EOP initiative, ASEE launched the EOP-MGP in 2022. It has included three cohorts and a total of 45 awardees thus far. The Foundation has awarded a continuation grant to ASEE to extend the program through 2026 for a fourth and fifth cohort, each with 24 awardees.
