Foundation board member starts new UCLA anthropological program

Exciting news from one of our board members, Dr. Robert Lemelson. A professor of Anthropology at UCLA, Dr. Lemelson – who serves as co-vice president and secretary on our Board of Directors – has created the Lemelson Anthropological Fellows/Scholars Program at UCLA to link faculty and students creating opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to conduct original field research. The program grew from Dr. Lemelson’s belief that close mentoring relationships and creative, problem-oriented field research skills are of crucial importance in training active and engaged anthropologists.
