Vanessa Briseño joined the Foundation in 2022 as Communications Officer, a role in which she partners with the Executive Director, program officers, and other colleagues to develop and execute communications and influence strategies that further the Foundation’s mission of cultivating and enabling the next generation of inventors and invention-based enterprises in the US and low- and middle-income countries.
A seasoned and successful fund development and communications professional, Briseño brings more than two decades of experience in diversified funding strategies, contract and grant writing and management, board and leadership development, capacity and team building, targeted and strategic communications and marketing, and partnership building. With experience in the philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, she shares and applies a unique perspective to her work.
Briseño sits on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, and she frequently teaches fund development strategies and partnership building with the Willamette Valley Development Officers.
